Emergency Dentistry
A permanent (adult) tooth which has been knocked out can be saved if it is put back quickly. There is an excellent chance it will survive if it is put back into the gum straight away. Every minute the tooth is out of the gum, the less chance it has of surviving. If you cannot put the tooth back, try not to touch the root tip end and avoid the temptation to clean it. Store the tooth in milk or plastic food wrap. If you sustain an injury related to your mouth or teeth its very important for you to contact Kylie’s Family Dental for advice and treatment immediately.
Children’s baby teeth should not be put back if knocked out, as it can damage the developing permanent tooth underneath the gum.
