Tooth Coloured Restoration

Natural looking tooth coloured fillings, or white fillings, are also known as composite fillings and are made from very strong bonding material that can be shaped to restore the tooth to represent its orginal form.

Amalgam Restoration

Dental amalgam fillings are also known as silver fillings because of their silver like appearance. Dental amalgam is a common material used to fill cavities. Over the years, concerns have been raised about the use of amalgam because it contains mercury. Amalgam is a combination of metals that have been the most popular and effective filling material used in dentistry for the last 150 years. Now that tooth coloured materials have improved significantly to restore teeth in most situations, amalgam is used less often than in the past.

Crown/Bridge

A dental crown is a tooth shaped cap or helmet that is placed over a tooth to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. A bridge is a fixed dental restoration (a fixed dental prosthesis) used to replace a missing tooth (or several teeth) by joining an artificial tooth permanently to adjacent teeth which are crowned.

A crown or bridge may consist of many different material choice of which can be gold, porceline or ceramic to name a few.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is a dental procedure that replaces a tooth’s damaged or infected nerve with a rubber filling. Damage to the nerve may be caused by untreated dental decay, decay beneath a filling, tooth damage due to trauma, tooth grinding (bruxism) or gum disease. The procedure is also known as endodontic treatment.
